Nutrition Connections focuses on a personalized and mindful approach to healthy living. Our approach is holistic, meaning we address nutrition, stress, sleep and physical activity. We provide evidence-based nutrition counseling with a holistic theme designed to enhance your life through food. Our mission is to inspire you to live your healthiest, happiest life. We believe health involves all aspects of physical, mental and social health and our goal is to inspire and educate you to make practical changes to live your best life. Together we will create an individualized program based on your unique lifestyle and demanding schedule to achieve long-term, sustainable results.

Carol Aguirre MS, RD/LDN:

Carol’s great passion in life is assisting others to feel healthier, live healthier, and to embrace the many benefits of mental and physical well-being. She strongly believes in building a relationship with the clients and in doing so, gaining insight into the clients’ strengths and weaknesses. This also creates a warm and calming environment where clients can feel comfortable communicating freely. Carol works with her clients to find the lifestyle, food choices, and exercise/stress management techniques that best suit each person’s unique biochemistry and current life situation.

 As a Licensed, Registered, and bilingual (Spanish) Dietitian, Carol provides nutrition consults for individuals and groups wanting to improve their health and fitness. Carol offers nutrition counseling and education on several topics. She helps clients with a variety of health challenges, including Obesity, Pre/Post Bariatric surgery, Diabetes, Heart Disease, High Cholesterol, and Weight Management, gut health issues such as IBS, Gluten Intolerance, and Celiac Disease. Assist vegans and vegetarians to create meals with a proper balance of nutrients. Assist clients to gain, lose, or maintain weight in a healthy personalized manner. As well as help clients improve athletic performance while training for triathlons or marathons (or half marathons). Carol’s areas of expertise lies in nutrition for gastrointestinal disorders, gut health, and vegan health. She works with clients who struggle with digestive issues, irritable bowel syndrome (IBS), and those who are trying to overcome emotional eating, weight loss, or manage symptoms of PCOS. As a passionate health enthusiast herself, you will find Carol is full of energy and motivation to help inspire you to achieve your nutrition, health, and fitness goals.

Over the last fourteen years Carol has worked as a Clinical Dietitian and Behavior Health Dietitian, helping learn how to use food to improve their health and their quality of life. Carol also worked as a Consultant Dietitian for multiple healthcare facilities and taught nutrition at several local universities.

Carol graduated from the Dietetics and Nutrition program at Florida International University with a Bachelor of Science degree, completed her internship at Stony Brook University, and most recently, completed the Clinical Nutrition program from Rosalind Franklin University of Medicine and Science, receiving her Master’s degree. Carol has been a Licensed and Registered Dietitian/Nutritionist in the state of Florida since 2005 and is a member of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics, as well as the Integrative & Functional Medicine, Sports, Cardiovascular & Wellness, Weight Management, and Nutrition Entrepreneur Dietetic practice groups.  Carol is involved in numerous charitable and community organizations in her community, including the Junior League of Greater Fort Lauderdale.
